Søster Lagkage, Nyt Syn, Golf Hotel Viborg, Café Baghuset, Den Gyldne Okse, Djurs Sommerland, BR Legetøj, and MH24 are taking the culmination of Generation Handball a step up when they enter the arenas of the festival for the finals. We’re happy to present these local businesses as our Generation Handball match partners.

Søster Lagkage is a savoury bakery and confectionary, Nyt Syn is a retailer of high fashion glasses and sunglasses, Golf Hotel Viborg is a great Best Western hotel, Café Baghuset and Den Gyldne Okse are delicious eateries, BR Legetøj is a big toy store, Djurs Sommerland is Scandinavia’s biggest summer land, and MH24 is handball star Mikkel Hansen’s association against bullying.
All the businesses are located within walking distance of the festival site, except Djurs Sommerland where you can take the Generation Handball bus to. MH24 has a shop at the festival site.

Something new
“Generation Handball strives to improve, and in 2018, we’ve worked hard to make the atmosphere in relation to the finals even more intense and exciting. We are sure that this new concept brings that “extra” touch to the important finals – and equally as important, we are very happy to be able to invite the local businesses of Viborg to be part of Generation Handball,” says sales manager Mads Glargaard.

The eight local businesses each cover one or more Generation Handball finals and will give the respective finals their own personal touch. In cooperation with a jury, the match partners will in addition select the players of the matches (finals), and these players will receive exciting prizes.

Support for the local community
When asked about the reason for their support for the festival, co-owner of Søster Lagkage Sussi Albrechtsen says: “We wish to support the local community of Viborg and be part of making it a vibrant city. Viborg is and has to be a great place to visit, so of course we’ll support a local event like Generation Handball.”

Søster Lagkage, which is located a few hundreds of metres from the festival site, also has a bed & breakfast at their shop, and it is already fully booked during the festival.

We are excited to introduce this new concept in 2018, and we’re looking forward to 10 amazing Generation Handball finals.
