After three amazing days of fun, team spirit and lots of great handball matches, Bjerringbro FH’s Christmas tournament is now successfully completed. Generation Handball is cooperating with Bjerringbro FH in order to spread the joy of handball. Thus, we are happy to be able to offer one of the Christmas tournament participants even more cool handball experiences in week 31 at Generation Handball, as we have drawn a winner of a free stay at Generation Handball among the many Christmas tournament participants.

The lucky winner was the handball club Skive FH, and the excitement was obvious even though the club has not yet decided which team that is going to make use of the prize. We talked to Julie Svenningsen and Frederik Hovgaard who both are coaches in the club. Without any hesitation and at the same time, the two coaches stated:
“It is totally amazing!” and Frederik Hovgaard elaborates: “It was a big surprise for us!”

Team spirit across classes
The club Skive FH does on a daily basis a lot to enhance the sense of community, and that matches perfectly with the spirit of Generation Handball. Julie Svenningsen says:
“For instance, we held our ‘end of season celebration’ for all U-16 and U-18 players – both the boys and the girls. We also held our own ‘world championship’ for the U-10 and U-12 where they all played against each other while the U-14 boys and girls were coaches and referees.”
In general, the club is very aware of ensuring solidarity among the teams of the club across year groups and classes. Julie Svenningsen continues: “We try to maintain the team spirit even though we are many people.”

The great thing about handball tournaments
Actually, Skive FH hostes their own Easter handball tournament, and thus, the club is somewhat an expert on what makes a handball tournament great. “It is so cool to get to play against teams that come from all over Denmark,” says Frederik Hovgaard about Skive FH’s own Easter tournament.

For this reason in particular, Skive FH is very excited about participating in Generation Handball where there are teams from many other countries than Denmark participating as well. Last year, 15 different countries were represented at Generation Handball.
“It is going to be amazing. The team that gets to participate in Generation Handball will get an amazing experience!” concludes Julie Svenningsen.

We are looking forward to seeing Skive FH at Generation Handball, and we are excited to know which team exactly that is going to visit us in week 31.
