Corona consequences

The Corona virus has a huge impact on our world. In compliance with the official guideline announced by the Danish government earlier this week, we are for now sadly left with no other choice but to cancel the Generation Handball 2020 festival.
The friendliest handball festival will be back in 2021, and we cannot wait to see you all. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to act as friendship ambassadors ensuring lots of fun, fight, and friendship in the world of handball. Teams registered for GH20 will be transferred to the 2021 registration. 2020 fees will be refunded or deducted from 2021 invoices.
Thanks for your understanding and best wishes from the entire Generation Handball organization

About Generation Handball

Generation Handball is a recurring, international handball tournament held in Viborg with both indoor and outdoor handball tournaments and social events for children and young people in the age of 10-21 years who make acquaintances of different cultures. In 2019, 232 teams from 19 countries participated in the tournament.

The handball festival takes place over the course of six days in the summer holidays, and it is a cooperation between Viborg municipality, Viborg Sports Council, and the local handball clubs Bjerringbro FH, Viborg HK, and Søndermarkens IK.

Generation Handball was developed and established in 2014 as part of Viborg municipality’s event strategic plan, which in addition to the handball festival encompasses three other lighthouses: The Snapsting with Viborg Hærvejsfestival, Viborg Animation Festival, and races with both national and international perspective including Hærvejsløbet.
