Generation Handball is an international handball festival combining a strong tournament with numerous events and activities. Based on the pillars of FUN, FIGHT, FRIENDSHIP, it’s designed for youth teams (ages 9–20) and includes a senior tournament for professional teams and a beach handball tournament.
In 2023, the festival welcomed 175 teams and 40 referees from 20 countries.
The festival is always held in week 31.
Generation Handball is hosted in Viborg, Denmark, a historic city known for its strong handball culture and vibrant community.

We provide digital invitation letters to simplify the visa process. Please email player details (e.g., name, passport info) to info@generation-handball.com. Visa applications can be submitted up to six months prior (from 28 January 2025).

Yes! Arrivals are possible on 26, 27, or 28 July, and departures on 2 or 3 August. Additional nights are available for an extra charge.

Teams staying with Generation Handball receive three meals daily: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Meals are served at the food hall on the festival site, with some accommodations offering on-site breakfast.

The schedule will be published online in early July. Matches begin Tuesday morning and guarantee a minimum of six games per team.
Beach handball matches are held in the evenings from Monday to Saturday. Participation is free, and schedules are posted a day in advance.
Indoor court time can be booked for teams arriving early or leaving late. Requests are made via ProCup and confirmed by email.
Yes! Washing machines and dryers are available at the festival site. Purchase washing cards at the info desk.
Yes! Generation Handball T-shirts and other items can be purchased at the Sportigan shop on the festival site. Personalization with names and numbers is available.
